Their are some prep basketball players making a name for themselves this spring. These young athletes are showing us that the future of basketball in Michigan is strong. Kevyn RobertsonKevynRobertson6'5" | PFWalled Lake Northern | 2021StateMI is one of the players in the class of 2021 who is doing just that. The 6’3” small forward/power forward is having a strong spring. Robertson is playing for REACH Legends this spring and summer and attends Walled Lake Northern High School. He averaged 10ppg, 10rpg, and 2bpg.

Kevyn RobertsonKevynRobertson6'5" | PFWalled Lake Northern | 2021StateMI is a skilled basketball player with the potential for a big future in the game. He is extremely active around the rim, which allows him to be a a solid rebounder on both ends of the floor. Robertson is able to score on a put back off an offensive rebound and can get the ball into transition off a defensive rebound. He is an excellent defender who uses the threat of a blocked shot to protect the rim. Robertson is working to improve his ball handling so he can easily bring the ball up the court when an opposing team is applying pressure.

Robertson is very active in the process of improving his game and showing off his skills this spring and summer. He considered his best moment in basketbsll to be playing in the NY2LA Circuit and showing his next level potential to college coaches. Robertson is looking forward to the NY2LA championship and playing in Orlando in July. He is working to improve as a player and to lead his REACH team to as many wins as possible.

His size and skill set offers a unique brand of player. Robertson can provide a future coach with a player who has a willingness to learn and a passion for the game and individual improvement. He is a well rounded young man that any college coach could be proud to have represent their program.

Robertson has shown his potential as a basketball player and as an individual. He wants to go as far as possible in the game and play against the best competition. Robertson is focused academically as well and wants to earn a four year degree from a good college. He has a great appreciation for his parents and all they do for him. “My greatest motivation is my parents because they make daily sacrifices for me to get me to practice, pay for hotels and flights. When they were younger they didn’t have the same chances so i’m doing it for them.” With these goals and outlooks, combined with his basketball skills, it’s easy to see that Kevyn RobertsonKevynRobertson6'5" | PFWalled Lake Northern | 2021StateMI is a young man with a bright future.
