Prospect Spotlight: Kailk Brooks (2019)
A 6’5” guard from Alpharetta, Kalik Brooks is a guy that has the right size and frame to play multiple positions at the high school level.
But he’s made is very clear, that it’s the guard spot where he feels most content. And he’d like to be recruited as such.
“My strengths as a player is that I have pretty good handles and a good shot for my size,” said Brooks, Georgia’s 101st-ranked 2019.
“My junior season at Alpharetta wasn’t how I wanted it to go. I had to sacrifice and play the four and the five because we had a lot of guards. Next season, I will only be playing the one and the two.”
Before his senior season, though, Brooks will have the summer ahead to continue and sharpen his guard skill-set. He’s spending his 17U offseason with Georgia Elite Ballers.
“So far my spring has been great,” said Brooks
As for recruitment, he’s got some form of interest coming in from Lamar, Hamilton, Oberlin, Brown, Cornell, Mercer, Georgia Tech and Birmingham Southern.
His recruitment goals?
“My goals for this summer are to get at least three Division I offers, and to find the best school that fits me as a student-athlete,” said Brooks.
