Prospect Spotlight: Daquan Johnson (2019)
One of the top rising senior guards in the 2019 class, Parson’s Daquon Johnson is putting together a strong offseason with the Vikings.
He is an athletic 6’0 guard who can create off the bounce, attack the rim and is a strong rebounder.
“I like to crash the glass hard and attack the rim to get the defense to help with drive and kick you good shooters or create space,” Johnson said.
Johnson put together a strong junior season averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while leading Parsons to the Class 4A Final Four where they fell to Holcomb in the semifinals.
“Last year wasn’t a bad year we was close to going to the championship but lost,” Johnson said. “It is a learning experience for us and we still think we can compete.”
Parsons returns all but one senior from that team and have put together a strong summer, including an 8-0 performance at Missouri Southern Team Camp in early June.
Johnson says he is working on his ball handling and outside shooting this offseason as he gears up for his senior season.
