Post Game Interview: Jordan McNeill
We got the chance to talk with the Lumberton HS 2020 Guard after their bigtime win over Grays Creek to take home the UNCP Team Camp Championship.
Q: You guys came into this camp, got some good wins and took home the championship, how was the experience this year different than years prior?
Jordan: Last year we had a lot of varsity guys with us, this year it was more of JV guys that had moved up so it just took a lot of teamwork from us to get the job done.
Q: Playing in an All-day event like this can be difficult , how do you as a player and a team get through that?
Jordan: It’s mental, it’s all in your head how tired you are, you just have to keep on pushing through it to help your team.
Q: You have a larger role this year and we see that once again you are rebounding the ball at a very high level, what do you feel makes you a good rebounder?
Jordan: Honestly I think I see it off the rim really good and the fact that I jump off two feet helps as well.
Q: How has the spring and summer been going for you so far and how is your recruitment?
Jordan: It’s been going good so far, I have a couple coaches talking to me, UNCP and WSSU are the main one so far. Coastal Carolina has been looking at me a little bit as well.
Q: What are some of the expectations that you have for the rest of the summer and going into the fall?
Jordan: I’m trying to get some offers and then make a deep run in the playoffs during the basketball season.
Q: What do you feel sets you apart from some of the other players in your class?
Jordan: I hustle every time on the court, I’m a dog.
