Nike Elite 100: Sunday Standouts
The premier camp for underclassmen nationally concluded on Sunday morning in St. Louis. Here are the Sunday Standouts from Nike Elite 100!
SG Josh Christopher (Mayfair HS, CA – 2020)
Christopher continued to elevate his already really high stock with another solid day on Sunday. The California guard is a super competitive kid that plays with a motor on both ends of the floor. Scores around the hoop well with drives and has a consistent jumper.
PG Sharife Cooper (McEachern HS, GA – 2020)
Cooper might have been the best point guard at the camp. Closed it out strong on Sunday with his play. Quick and shifty guard that scores in the lane getting it up on the glass before the big can come over to swat it. He is so fast with it going end to end. Active defender.
PF Isaiah Jackson (Old Redford HS, MI – 2020)
Jackson took his game to another level especially defensively over the weekend. The Michigan native was one of the top shot blockers at the camp swatting them in both one on one situations against bigger opponents as well as coming from the weak side. Moves well laterally defending in ball screens. Plays above the rim offensively catching lobs and converting tip dunks.
SF Keondre Montgomery (Forrest Hill HS, MS – 2020)
Montgomery proved to be an extremely intriguing prospect. He has great size and projectability on the perimeter. Featured a feathery jumper from all over the floor! Pull up mid-range game was on point from the very beginning of the camp and continued through Sunday. Thin kid that will need to add strength, but man can he shoot it!
G Antwan Burnett (Sidney Lanier HS, AL – 2020)
Burnett is a combo guard with size that loves to attack downhill. He was excellent slashing and scoring at the rim with aggression in the game we saw.
SF Obinna Anyanwu (Cathedral Catholic HS, CA – 2021)
Another good day for this 2021 wing from California. High motor and physical perimeter player that drills mid-range jumpers for days, pounds the offensive glass, and is powerful scoring at the rim.
SG Aminu Mohammed (Archbishop Carroll HS, MD – 2021)
This combo guard stood out to us with his ability to both pass and score. Sound perimeter shooter that connected on quite a few triples especially from the wings. He also threw some crisp passes and lobs on the money.
PG Zion Harmon (Marshall County HS, KY – 2021)
Harmon was a bit up and down throughout the week, but he helped lead his team to the championship game where he shined in the title contest. He is a scoring point guard that lacks size. Handles it very well creating space to get his shot off. Jumper started to fall and also won off the dribble and hit a few runners.
PG Tyler Beard (Whtiney Young HS, IL – 2020)
The Whitney Young standout might have been one of the biggest stock risers of the event. He was already going to move up to #3 in the PHI Rankings, but is starting to put some pressure on the already established top two in Illinois. Beard did a great job of running the team, getting others involved, hitting open shots, and scoring off the dribble.
