NCWC Class of 2020 Standout Prospects
Knightdale HS 2020 Guard Isaiah Griffin: This was our 2nd time seeing him in the span of about three days, although he didn’t have the same type of scoring impact on the game, we were still impressed with his impact. He has good size for a college prospect, a nice natural feel for the game, and seems to have a lot more upside in him.
Franklin Academy 2020 Guard Ethan Betty: There is a lot to like about what he can possibly be if he continues to work and stays locked in. He scores the ball at a very nice rate for his squad, which was true all season as we saw him average over 14 points per game this season. During this event he knocked down some shots from deep, and showed that he has a quick first step as he got past defenders with ease.
Henderson Collegiate 2021 Forward Akhiris Holden: Prospect wise he is still raw but has a nice amount of upside left in him, he rebounds the ball well and does a nice job of running the floor. Age and developmental wise he is still young and has a good amount of upside to him, will be one to keep an eye on.
Franklin Academy 2020 Forward Seth Clifton: One of the taller players on the team, he is responsible for pulling down rebounds and being an interior presence. If this team wants to be successful this year, then they will need nice production from him on a consistent basis.
Southwest Edgecombe 2020 Wing Keishon Porter: One of the better athletes that we saw on the day, he can play some shooting guard as well as moving over to the small forward position. Plays the game with a very motor and although he is 6’3, he plays even taller by using his strength and athleticism, there were numerous plays where he kept possessions alive just off of pure will and fight.
