Intro: Luke Scheffers (2020)
Luke Scheffers is a 2020 pass first point guard that is best running the show. The St. Charles North point guard is a crisp passer that pushes it in the open floor and directs his offense well in the half court. Love how he works in the pick and roll! Usually a pretty good shooter. D2’s should keep tabs on him.
He spoke about his spring running the show for Fundamental U 16U.
“The spring is going real well. We have a strong team. I am just trying to find my place after a rough school season which didn’t go how I wanted it to. Trying to win with this Fundamental U team. Do what I can to help the team win. Try to get some college offers.”
What is his role on the team?
“My role is get everyone the best shot possible and then look to get my own shot. The team plays best when I am aggressive and making sure everyone gets their points. I love to make the pass more than make the shot. At the same time I have to make my shots.”
Scheffers broke down the strengths of his game.
“Handling the ball. Nobody is going to take the ball from me. I am going to get anyone who is hot the ball. Smart player with a strong IQ. I can make my shots as well.”
Any college interest yet?
“Western Illinois has come to my game and I am talking to them a little bit.”
