Capitol Hoops Summer League Friday Night Standouts
2020 Woody Newton | McKinley Tech
Woody continued to show last night why high major programs are all over him. He has tremendous size and moves very well with the ball. At 6’8 he can handle the ball and last night he was playing with the ball in his hands a lot. He finished 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 block and 4 steals.
2019 Daniel Allen | McKinley Tech
Daniel had a tremendous game for McKinley. He tallied 19 points shooting 6/10 from the field and hit three triples. He is an undersized guard standing at 5’11 but his size does not bother him as he plays with a lot of confidence and grit.
2022 Ryan Cornish | Richard Montgomery
Here is a name that you will want to remember. Ryan is a rising 9th grader but is already thriving on the basketball court. Last night he finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. He showed great vision as he had some terrific passes and has the capability to knock down open shots with a quick release. Cornish has a bright future.
2019 Djordje Orcev | Richard Montgomery
Djordje played a huge role in the win for Richard Montgomery. He was active on both sides of the ball by hitting multiple shots from different areas on the court and passed it well when he was in trouble down low. On defense he had a few blocks too. He was definitely one of the most interesting prospects in attendance last night.
2019 Miles Galley | Richard Montgomery
Miles showed some good things last night for Richard Montgomery. He finished with 13 points while shooting 6/7 from the field. He hauled in 4 rebounds but remained active down low all throughout the game.
