Campbell University Team Camp: Class of 2019 Standouts
Grace Christian 2019 Guard Nate Yow: Recently he picked up an offer Fayetteville Tech, not only has he stepped into more of a leadership role for this team with his play but also with how vocal he has become on the floor. The ability to knock down shots from deep, making fundamentally sound passes, and defending without fouling are all things that he brings to the table as well as very high IQ for the game.
Athens Drive 2019 Guard Cardell Mitchell: Another player that has plenty to like about him, he can score the ball well using his height and length. Where we saw him be the most effective was from midrange and three point land, he didn’t attack the rim a ton but definitely is capable of getting to and finishing at the basket.
Lumberton HS 2019 Braylan Grice: You don’t have to watch him for a long amount of time to know that he spends a good amount of time on the gridiron, His skills translate to the court well as he plays physical and uses his passing abilities to make plays for others, one of the top contributors for the Pirates last year.
Grace Christian 2019 Guard Evan Cheek: Some players just seem to have knack for scoring the ball at a high level, well that’s the case for Evan. He uses his strength and craftiness to get inside the paint to score the ball as well as drawing fouls at a nice rate, definitely a lot to like about him.
Grace Christian 2019 Forward Cade Cross: The amount of time that he has been playing basketball has been pretty brief but there is a lot to like about him potential wise. 6’5 with solid shooting form and nice upside are things that should be kept in mind, for a small school looking for a project type of prospect, he may not be a bad one to keep an eye on.
