Bracy’s Skills Summer Showcase: Class of 2020 Standouts
Sunday June 3rd North Bay Area Trainer Brandon Bracy put on his Summer Showcase at American Canyon High School. The showcase was filled with talent from around the area from Class of 2022, all the way up to 2019. The players were able to compete against each other, go through fundamental skill work, strength and conditioning, and gain valuable knowledge about their approach to the game. The class of 2020 had a lot of standouts on Sunday as they competed at a high level and showcased their ability.
Myles Savage – Salesian HS 6’0 PG
Savage is a pit-bull on defense and does all of the little things that it takes to win a basketball game. He talks on defense, he plays good help side defense, and he dives on the floor for loose balls. On the offensive end he attacks the basket well and he has a good mid-range jump shot. He was definitely a standout at the showcase.
Andres Torres – Prolific Prep 6’2 SG
Torres is physically ready for college ball right now based on his size and strength. He is strong going to the basket and he is a solid outside shot. Once his ball-handling and lateral foot speed improves over the next few years, he could turn out to be a really good college basketball player.
Donniel Johnson – St. Joseph Notre Dame HS 5’10 PG
Johnson was by far the most athletic player at the showcase. He has blazing speed, a strong upper body, plays good defense, and he attacks the basket extremely hard. His ability to change speeds and accelerate past defenders makes it hard for opposing guards to keep up with him.
Kairee Griffin – Inderkum HS PG
Griffin has all of the capabilities to be a floor general type of point guard. He has a high basketball IQ, and he does a good job of getting his teammates involved. Griffin is also a descent defender and does a good job of getting to the basket. His jump shot needs work as he prepares for the next level but his motor can keep coaches interested in him.
Emmanuel Gosman – San Francisco 5’10 PG
Gosman shot the ball extremely well at the showcase and showed his competitiveness. He is a solid set shooter and moves well without the ball. Once he adds upper body strength he can be a sleeper in the 2020 class.
Elijah Alviz – American Canyon HS 5’10 SG
Alviz plays hard and has a really good motor. He showcased good solid footwork, good on-ball defense, and the ability to attack the rim. He will have a major role with American Canyon high school this upcoming year.
