Breakdown: The class of 2019 point guards is a pretty good one with the top end of the class a two-man race that will go down until our final rankings with Jalen Blackmon and Khristian Lander the clear leaders. Both have played outstanding this Spring and have elevated their stock and drawn the interest of national scouts and colleges.
Looking further down the list, guys like Naylon Thompson and Vincent Brady have really taken their games to another level quickly and put themselves in the conversation at the top of this set of rankings. I think they also could be in line for another jump when we go through rankings again in early August as they continue to develop quickly.
Overall, the group has enough talent with many guys that will vie for spots in the Top 10 of the overall rankings and there are 5+ guys in that group. Along with that, I think the size will be interesting to watch as there are a good handful of players that will continue to grow taller, guys like Vinny Buccilla, Luka Balac, Naylon Thompson, and Max Grimes. It could help with some more diversity in this group as that is the one thing we don’t have yet but is still in the cards over the next couple years.
