2020 Wing Stock Risers
There were quite a few wings that have made the big jump between their sophomore and junior years. Here are the ones that made the biggest leaps in the latest 2020 rankings update!
Ramean Hinton (Curie)
Previous Ranking: #16
Current Ranking: #5
Wow what a spring for this Curie 2020 shooting guard. We were already big fans of his after last summer. He played solid in a reserve role and then took it to another stratosphere this spring with Team Rose 16U. Aggressive guard that attacks downhill and plays with a high energy motor. His jump shot has really improved. Dominant in every setting we saw him in the spring.
Davis Walker (Home School)
Previous Ranking: #94
Current Ranking: #15
Walker broke out at the Battle at the Lakes in Minnesota. Being a home school prospect travel team season is even more crucial and he capitalized on it with Team RWA up North. We saw him display his scoring game from the combo guard spot and then the next day he did it again dropping 29 points on elite national prospect Jalen Suggs.
Will Wolfe (Aurora Christian)
Previous Ranking: #43
Current Ranking: #18
Wolfe is a tough and skilled wing from Aurora Christian that helped himself teaming up with his brother for an historic regular season run for their school. He has continued that momentum into the spring with the Illinois Wolves as he is the top 2020 prospect on that team. Wolfe has been the most consistent threat scoring and bringing his intangibles every game.
Christian Shumate (Plainfield East)
Previous Ranking: #38
Current Ranking: #20
Shumate elevated his stock with an excellent spring for Chicago Lockdown. He was particularly effective at the ROCK Spring Classic where he was dominant for his team slashing to the hoop and playing with an all-out motor doing everything he could for his team to win. Jumper is streaky.
Caleb Zurliene (Breese Mater Dei)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #29
Zurliene played great the last two weeks of the travel team season in the spring with the Illinois Bears. He is a smooth two guard that can really shoot the basketball with a clean release. Also proved to be a plus athlete with a few big dunks.
Jimarius Sneed (Crane)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #35
Sneed is a player that we were impressed with early this spring with his play for Team Rose. He is a rangy small forward with quick twitched athleticism. Explosive second jumper that can score on slashes and in transition. Defensively he has the tools. The jump shot could be more of a threat.
Connor Kochera (St. Viator)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #42
Kochera won us over this spring with his versatility and consistency for Fundamental U. The St. Viator 2020 wing has size and broad shoulders. Quality athlete that has skill. Uses shot fakes to set up one dribble pull ups and drives. Solid ball handler with long strides. Runs the floor well.
Carson Parker (Nashville)
Previous Ranking: #137
Current Ranking: #43
Parker continues to see his stock rise after an impressive close to the regular season! The Nashville 2020 guard is a scoring guard that is smooth with everything he does. Really good pull up jump shooter. Crisp ball handler. Solid passer. He is a kid that is a bit understated as a scorer, but he can flat out put it in the hoop. Played well at the Arch Elite Showcase.
