2020 Small College Post Prospects
It is never too early for small college programs to start tracking post players. Here are a few that we think D3 and NAIA’s would wise to monitor this July!
Sincere Callwood (Simeon)
Travel Team: Meanstreets
Callwood is a 6’5” power undersized four man that plays a physical brand of basketball. Rebounds well in traffic and finishes through contact.
Ryan Isaacson (Hinsdale Central)
Travel Team: Chicago Lockdown
Isaacson is a skilled four man that can face up and take his man off the bounce as well as shoot it from deep.
Michael Huene (St. Viator)
Travel Team: Fundamental U
Huene is an intriguing 6’8” post. The skilled big man has nice footwork in the post and an array of skilled post moves. At times he can over think it and do too many moves. Needs to get stronger and speed up post moves. Can score with a hook shot over both his right and left shoulders.
Colin O’Rourke (Plainfield North)
Travel Team: Breakaway
Skilled face up four man that can handle the basketball and is an excellent perimeter shooter. High skill level here!
Aaron Molton (Collinsville)
Travel Team: Gateway Illinois
Big bodied lefty that is surprisingly mobile for his size and can stretch the floor with his shot. Rebounds well.
Jaccob Dust (Effingham St. Anthony)
Travel Team: Illinois Bears
Dust stands at 6’6” from Effingham St. Anthony. That program has produced some quality small college prospects over the last couple years and Dust looks to be the next in line in 2020. He is a tough and rugged kid that is an excellent area rebounder. Country strong kid that is powerful finishing through weaker big men. Efficient with his touches on the block and shows some skill down low.
Gabe Mason (Metamora)
Travel Team: DiverseCity
Mason is a 2020 6’5” forward from Metamora that could grow a few more inches which would make him even more intriguing as a face up four man. Mason is best spacing the floor as seen by drilling several three point shots. Also is a decent rebounder that will improve even more with that once he adds strength.
