2019 Top Perfomers : South Carolina Team Camp
Prep Hoops took in the action from the University of South Carolina Team Camp this past weekend. Lets take a look at 2019 performers we saw in attendance on Saturday.
Robert Johnson – Eau Claire HS (Columbia)
Johnson has to carry the work load for the Shamrocks all season long with the departure of Asanti Price to Keenan. Johnson has the ability to make some tough acrobatic plays at times along with tough shots. Johnson plays with a great motor on the floor. Johnson has really good body control attacking the basket.
Juwan Perdue – Lakewood HS (Sumter)
Perdue played really well here today with a lot off assertiveness and aggression. Perdue ran the floor and filled the lane in transition several times for the Gators. Perdue needs to play more consistent this coming season for the Gators. Perdue will run with Team Loaded North Carolina this coming summer.
Malcolm Wilson – Ridge View HS
Wilson was at the top of his game for the Blazers. Wilson 6’11 just glides all over the floor with his play. Wilson altered and challenged several shots on the defensive end all day long. Wilson is ranked #4 in the 2019 Palmetto State Rankings.
Walyn Napper – Ridge View HS (pictured on front)
Napper is great taking the ball downhill to the rack. Napper sees the floor very well and still needs to improve on perimeter skills. Napper is also a big-time wide receiver on the gridiron for the Blazers. Napper plays with a fearless attitude on the floor. Napper is ranked #12 in the 2019 Palmetto State Rankings
Shane McCravy – Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant)
McCravy really excels in the transition game. McCravy has great length and gets plenty of deflections on the defensive end of the floor. McCravy 6’4 has a nice mid-range game and really rebounds the ball well on both ends of the floor.
Zarrius Salmond – Lugoff-Elgin HS
Salmond was a new one for Prep Hoops this weekend. Salmond has really no true position on the floor for the Demons. Salmond a tweener finished plays around the basket with both hands today. Salmond has good footwork and was very agile on the floor.
David Muncy – Shannon Forest Christian (Greenville)
Muncy is already off the board for next season as he has committed to North Greenville University (NCAA D2). Muncy averaged 24.8 ppg, 5.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds last season for the Crusaders. Muncy has 1,076 points scored over the past 2 seasons.
