2019 Small College PGs

Who are some point guards out of the Illinois 2019 class that can be impact players at the small college level?  We dive into that here!


Tyrese Shines (Lyons)

Travel Team: Illinois Heat

Big lefty combo guard that can score it with size and mid-range game.  Also a decent passer and gets after it on the defensive end.


Jack McDonald (Geneva)

Travel Team: Mercury Elite

McDonald is a high IQ guard that is a really good passer.  He sees the floor and is a capable jump shooter.


Zach Toussaint (Johnsburg)

Travel Team: Kessel Heat

The baby faced assassin can really shoot the basketball.  Deep range on his three point shot and can dish the rock.


Jaheim Holden (Evanston)

Travel Team: Hoops Avenue

Holden is a quick and shifty lefty that has a lot of crafty moves in his game.  Understands angles and how to keep the defense off balance.


Malik Tidwell (Marian Catholic)

Travel Team: Get Buckets

Tidwell is an undersized scoring point guard.  Range on his shot and uses his compact strength in the paint.


Nate Duckworth (Normal West)

Travel Team: Illinois Warhawks

Duckworth is a shooter with deep range on his shot both off the catch and pulling up.  Vocal leader directing his team.


Jordan Booker (Bogan)

Travel Team: Mac Irvin Fire

Smaller scoring point guard that brings a burst of energy scoring off the bench for the Fire.


Nolan Niego (Lyons)

Travel Team: Chicago Lockdown

Niego is a tough and gritty lead guard that is a crisp passer and adequate shooter.


Matas Masys (Willowbrook)

Travel Team: ET21 Buckeyes

Masys can flat out shoot the basketball!  Big time perimeter marksmen with deep range on his shot off the catch.


William King (Glenbrook South)

Travel Team: All-In Athletics

King is a high IQ guard that has an excellent feel for the game and is a quality passer.
