2019 Post Stock Risers
Here are the power forward and center prospects that helped their stock the most over the last six months out from the state of Illinois!
Nate Ferguson (Lemont)
Previous Ranking: #24
Current Ranking: #6
Ferguson saw a significant jump in his play with good ole fashion hard work in the gym. We were blown away with his leap he made with his athleticism from even halfway through the high school season. Ferguson is an athletic face up four that can handle it, shoot, and play above the rim. His play at the Rock Classic and Run N Slam certified this ranking.
Tom Welch (Naperville North)
Previous Ranking: #27
Current Ranking: #8
Welch has been one of the hottest prospects on the recruiting trail this spring garnering a ton of offers and it is easy to see why with his play. First thing that stands out is his added upper body strength. Solid athlete that can handle it even initiating the offense for the Illinois Wolves at times. Rebounded at a high rate and scores well with strength inside.
Thomas Hall (Metamora)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #33
Hall created some buzz early in the spring with Team RWA and we were able to see him at Battle at the Lakes where he displayed a versatile offensive game. Tough kid around the hoop with broad shoulders being able to score on the block, drill pick and pop threes, and runs the floor. Good area rebounder.
Alex Timmerman (Crystal Lake)
Previous Ranking: #69
Current Ranking: #44
Timmerman has transformed his body over the last year. The Fundamental U post has lost significant weight and that has allowed him to be more fluid with his moves and light on his feet. Excellent footwork down low and passes great for a big man.
Danardo Jones (Timothy Christian)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #91
Jones jumped (literally) on our radar with his play for Chicago Select this spring with his rim rattling dunks and shot blocking ability. Still raw as an offensive player he screams upside with his athleticism and bounce off the floor!
