WNC’s 2019 Under the Radar Guards/Forwards
Here is a look at some of the under-recruited 2019 guards/forwards in WNC.
Zeke Littlejohn 6’2 Kings Mountain (Upward Stars SE)-Plays hard on both ends of the floor, has the ability to attack the paint and get to the rim. Has good size at the guard position and brings a level of energy to the game that is hard to find.
Devin ElliottJackson Gabriel 6’2 Lincoln Charter (Team Denver)-Hard nosed compeitior that brings it every single night, doesn’t back down from challenges and has a gift for scoring the ball but brings it on the defensive end of the floor just as much.
Raishaun Brown 6’0 Asheville Christian (Team Vision)-The lefty has a smooth overall game, he has nice vision and puts passes on point for teammates. Also has a gift for scoring the ball at a high rate with a low rate of FGA. Has nice lateral quickness and a impressive IQ for the game of basketball.
Devin Elliott 6’0 Carolina Day (Team Vision)-Has the scoring ability and the toughness to compete at the Division II level. He is a slasher from the guard spot and can get the ball in the bucket from almost anywhere on the floor. He is a good shooter with nice form and can attack off the dribble.
Trey Austin 6’4 Christ School-Long and athletic; can get hot from outside; plays smart but sometimes tries to make too much with too little when attacking;
Ren Dyer 6’4 North Buncombe (Team Loaded 704)-One of the most athletic players in the region; can score everything in the paint; second jump is very strong; good rebounder and has good size for the position; able to shoot it from the outside; tough; dad was a professional boxer.
Dalton Whitt 6’3 North Buncombe HS-Transferred back to North Buncombe for his senior season, has the ability to play the guard position at the next level. Long and athletic, shoots it well from the mid-range, can rebound well for his size, runs the floor well and has the genes to be a college player.
