Updates from the around the Palmetto State
Prep Hoops takes a look at some of the news from around the Palmetto State this past week.
Ryan McCray will play at Limestone College (SC) (NCAA D2) next season. McCray a point guard from Ben Lippen averaged 19 ppg this season for the Falcons. McCray played AAU ball with All or Nothing. McCray was ranked #32 in the Prep Hoops 2018 Palmetto State Class.
Mike Marsh will attend South Carolina State University next season according to Gray Collegiate Head Coach Dion Bethea. Marsh 6’9 helped the War Eagles win the Class 2A State Championship this past March. Marsh is ranked #34 in the Prep Hoops 2018 Palmetto State Class.
Matt Lee informed Prep Hoops that he will do a post graduate year at Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham, NC next season. Lee 6’2 combo guard from Heathwood Hall averaged 12.1 ppg and 3.6 rebounds this season for the Highlanders (16-8). Lee finished his career with 1,195 points.
Jontavious Blakney will head out to the California Bay area to play at Mendocino College next season. Blakney 6’2 athletic guard averaged 9.4 ppg and 5.4 rebounds this season for the Red Foxes.
Sherman Robinson has inked with Navarro College in Texas for next season. Robinson a post player attended Legacy Early College this past season. Robinson played the spring AAU period with Team South Carolina.
David Muncy (2019) has given a early pledge to North Greenville University (NCAA D2) before his senior season. Muncy averaged 24.8 ppg, 5.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds this past season at Shannon Forest Christian. Muncy has scored 1,076 career points entering his senior year.
Brandon Miller played this past season at Combine Academy – Charlotte. Miller a point guard from Pinewood Prep will play Erskine College (SC) (NCAA D2) next season. Miller played AAU with Palmetto Elite this spring.
Palmetto Elite AAU teammate JT Clark will play at Columbia International University in Columbia, SC. Clark played this past season at Pinewood Prep. Clark started off his career at Woodland HS.
