Unsigned Senior Updates
Hoke County Dakari Johnson: Plenty of awards have given to this young man due to his high level of play over the past few years. He’s battled with all types of talent during his time at Village, Northwood and Hoke County. One of the things that you have to like and respect about him the most is how hard he works, I’ve seen personally the amount of time he puts in at the gym on the court as well as in the weight room.
Red Storm Guard Jordan Love: One of the top scorers that is still available, he could be a player that is a nice late pickup for the right college program. He’s long, athletic and can flat out shoot it, will need to add some muscle but there is a lot to like about what he brings to the table, he currently holds an offer from Coppin State.
New Hanover HS Guard Ramello Williams: Just this past week he picked up some interest from UNCP as well as some JUCO programs. Academically he’s a stellar student with a sky high GPA, so not only will he be able to perform well on the court but also in the classroom.
Holly Springs Wing Erik Alvey: One of the better athletes in the state, he attacks the basket and can finish above the rim through contact. D2 programs have expressed interest as well as numerous JUCO programs, from what we have been told he is looking to stay in state, there is plenty to like about the upside of Erik.
Mount Zion F/C Augustine Ominu: Physique wise he is ahead of the group, he looks as if he spends a high amount of time on the weights and skill set wise he’s not far off. Low Major programs have been on him as well as Low Major and JUCO college programs.
Word of God Forward Aaron Cash: A high motor player with nice athletic ability that plays taller than his height, he has been matched up with taller opponents quite often and has held his own. The proper fit at the next level is the key for him to transition as smooth as possible.
