The Catch-Up: 2018 College Commitments and Other News
Since our last edition of the Catch-Up, there have been several 2018 players have announcing their college decisions. Here’s a rundown of all the activity in recent weeks:
2018 Commitments:
- South Oldham wing Devin Young committed to Mount St. Joseph.
- Webster County G Chatman Ellis committed to Lake Land College.
- Apollo’s shooter Hayden Shelton is headed to Missouri Baptist University.
- Pikeville star Wyatt Battaille will be at Morehead State as a Walk-on next season.
- Fern Creek’s Tony Rogers signed with Rend Lake Community College.
- Rogers’ teammate at Fern Creek Jordan Coleman signed with Parkland Community College.
- Nick Fort from Collins High School signed with Kentucky Wesleyan.
- Paris Point Guard Eric Johnson signed to play at Highlands Community College.
- John Hardin combo guard Malik Wright signed to continue his career at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
- Elizabethtown standout Darius Harding committed to Motlow College.
- Faridale guard Glenn Queen is taking his talents to University of Maine – Machias.
- Another Fern Creek guard, Tone Wales, is committed to Campbellsville University – Somerset.
- Justin Mitchell of Fredrick Douglass will take a prep year at Athens Prep and reclassify to 2019.
- After a coaching change at Wheeling Jesuit, Saint Xavier F Pierce Kiesler is now committed to Florida Southern.
Other News:
2016 Caverna graduate Mason Faulkner transferred from Northern Kentucky to Western Carolina.
2017 Johnson County Central graduate Mason Blair announced a transfer from Pikeville to Kentucky Christian University.
2016 Mr. Basketball Carson Williams transferred from Northern Kentucky to Western Kentucky.
2016 Bryan Station forward DeAndre Dishman announced his transfer from Eastern Kentucky but hasn’t revealed a destination yet.
