Here is a look at some of the top unsigned Class of 2018 guards in the St. Louis area:

Tony Burks 6’2″ St. Mary’s: The athletic wing guard was a four-year starter and a big part in St. Mary’s emergence as a Class 4 power in the state. As a senior, Burks averaged 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, two assists and two steals while shooting 51 percent from the field. He also had a penchant for making clutch baskets in game-winning situations during his career.

Aaron Brookins 6’3″ Carnahan: Athletic wing guard who led Carnahan to its first ever district championship in the school’s history. Very skilled player who really stuffed the stat sheet as a senior, averaging 19.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 54 percent from the field and 46 percent from 3-point range.

Wilson Warren 6’3″ Northwest Academy: An explosive wing player who really fits the mode of a “3 and D” player.” He is an excellent 3-point shooter and a tremendous dunker in transition. He will also sit down and guard you on defense. He averaged 19 points as a senior to help lead the Hornets to its second consecutive Class 3 Final Four appearance.

Telly Wright 5’10” Hazelwood Central: Talented combo guard who did a nice job knocking down perimeter shots for a loaded Hazelwood Central team that advanced to the Class 5 state quarterfinals. He is also a solid ball handler and defender. Averaged 10 points and nearly three assists a game while making 51 3-pointers on the season.

Mikey Sanders 5’10” SLUH: An excellent point guard who provided production and leadership for a rebuilding SLUH team as a senior. He averaged 14 points and 4.5 assists while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range and 75 percent from the free throw line. A tough competitor who doesn’t back down from anybody.

Rayonte Childs 5’10” Northwest Academy: Small, quick point guard who was a key component to a state championship team in 2017 and another Final Four team this past season. The speedy lefty averaged 11 points a game and make 36 percent from 3-point range.

Mike Clark 5’10” Confluence Academy: An athletic point guard who provided excellent floor leadership for a CPA team that set a new school record for victories this season. He’s quick and also explosive in the open court. Averaged 12.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.9 steals a game.
