This is always an interesting time of year, as there are a lot of things going on after the live period. While the college coaches are no longer able to attend AAU games until July, players are back in their home gyms getting ready. With each week this spring, we are going to take a look at the latest recruiting news from DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

One of the best available seniors in Maryland, Jaylin Andrews, committed to Loyola last week. The versatile guard had a solid senior year at Boys’ Latin.

After reopening his recruitment due to the coaching change at Loyola, Devon Flowers has committed to James Madison. The 6-foot-8 post should provide an impact defensively from day one.

One of the most hotly recruited bigs on the east coast, Bryce Golden committed to Butler yesterday. The high energy forward will fit in nicely with the Bulldogs philosophy.

HINES TO MARIST

Marist is getting one of the biggest steals in the 2018 class with the recent signing of Darius Hines. Bishop Ireton’s PG has a chance to be a program changer.

Bishop O’Connell PG Xavier Johnson committed to Pittsburgh last week. The former Nebraska Commit should play a key role in Jeff Capel’s plans from day one.
