The Show Me Showdown in St. Louis concluded at the 17U level with a tremendous game between Young & Reckless Parham and the Illinois Warhawks for the championship.  It was a back and forth contest.  The Warhawks came out strong behind Bloomington strong and athletic wing Donzell Johnson.  He attacked the basket with authority and also consistently connected on jump shots.  For Young & Reckless they answered back with their high energy player in forward Isaac Stanback.  He dominated the glass inside getting second chance points.  At the half Y&R held a tight 33-31 lead.

In the second half the Warhawks guard duo of Payton Sheen and Nate Duckworth started to get their shots to fall.  Both are skilled scorers that can really let it fly from deep.  Young & Reckless forward Keenan Jones worked well on the baseline for some athletic finishes.  The player that took over the game was Downers Grove North guard Trey Boston.  He was scorching hot shooting from beyond the arc and also got loose in transition.  The game went to overtime and Boston hit the key shot in the OT session to give Y&R the win 72-69.  You can watch a ton of live video from this contest below including the overtime session!
