Recruiting Report: Luke Ronsiek (2019)
Five-foot-11 guard Luke Ronsiek is from SF O’Gorman and is now competing with the South Dakota Attack. PHD talked to Luke today.
“My high school season did not go as planned to say the least but I feel like I grew as a player mentally,” Luke explained.
O’Gorman went 14-10 over the winter and now Luke has moved into the 17u season with the South Dakota Attack. Through two events – the Midwest Live in Omaha and the Spring Extravaganza in Minneapolis – the Attack is 5-3 but next up is the Battle at the Lakes in the Twin Cities in two weekends, an event that will rank with the best this year.
Ronsiek is excited to play with the Attack at the Battle and in up and coming events in Sioux Falls, Wichita, St. Cloud, and Las Vegas.
“My experience with the Attack so far has gone well,” Luke said. “I feel like this summer will help me a lot in improving myself as a player. I think as a team we are trying to win a couple tournaments before the summer is up.”
With this experience Luke will take another off-season of competing against strong competition into his winter year, his senior year.
“Before my senior year I would like to improve my all around game, not just scoring but passing, rebounding, defense etc. I would also like to improve myself in the weight room. I want to be my teams go to player which I know will take extra work.”
Ronsiek has talent and a couple schools have been in contact about college hoops.
“So far the schools that have contacted me has been Dordt and Concordia Moorhead,” Luke said.
