Recruiting Report: Logan Carter (2019)
The one thing every college needs in the country is size. They never have enough and it is such a tough commodity to come by. In the 2019 class, at least in Indiana, there are plenty of quality options. A guy flying under the radar a bit is Evansville Mater Dei (IN) post Logan Carter.
The 6’9 big man is a space eater and dominator in the low post. He’s big and has a lot of body to throw around and he knows how to do it well. Logan is adept at carving out space and while he’s such a big kid, he has a really good motor and if and when the body gets refined, his motor is going to show and dominate.
So far, a handful of DI programs have shown some intrigue in the big man. Ball State, Bowling Green, and Lipscomb have been in contact with him and have kept him on their boards. Coming up soon is a visit to Bowling Green. Carter has the legit size you want to see out of a post player, and the skill has been coming around the last year.
The reason for the interest is because of all the little things he does. Footwork is solid and he’s really good at finishing strong at the rim. Has soft touch on his release and when he needs to, he has a mean streak and will just overpower people. Pair all of that with his toughness and size and he has the makings of a solid player at the next level.
Will be interesting to see who pulls the trigger first but Carter has been finding his spots playing for EG10 2019 this Spring. If he can have a couple big games, packaging everything together with some production, will be really hard to not be impressed by him.
