Recruiting Report: Kabir Bergin (2020)
Ann Arbor Skyline is coming off perhaps it’s best season ever. AABA 16u is one of the best 16u teams in Michigan. They have this in common: Kabir Bergin. Bergin is a forward in the class of 2020. He was a key contributor to Skyline’s historic season and has played exceptionally well for AABA this spring.
Any college coaches watching Bergin play this AAU season have witnessed the growth of his skill set. Bergin is a fundamentally sound basketball player. He has great footwork and multiple ways to score in the low post. Bergin can also from the perimeter. His jumper is fundamentally sound and efficient. He has the ability to play facing the basket or back to the basket, with equal success. Bergin is currently working to improve his ball handing.

Kabir Bergin is hard at work, both proving where his game stands among the elite in his grade, and showing the steady improvements that he has made. He is playing AAU basketball with AABA in the Adidas Silver Gauntlet. Bergin has shown tremendous improvements on his game in the post. AABA has a guard heavy roster, so he has taken a large role controlling the glass, defending the paint, and getting post buckets. Bergin will be back with his Ann Arbor Skyline teammates for summer high school league. He hopes to become a more complete player and to get his first collegiate offer.
Kabir Bergin has a bright future in front of him. He wants to earn a college degree someday. Bergin hopes to have the opportunity to play professional basketball as well.
Bergin’s recruitment is just beginning. He doesn’t currently hold any offers, but that should be changing by this fall. If Bergin continues his impressive play with AABA he will turn the heads of more college coaches. As the spring and summer roll along, expect much more recruiting news from Kabir Bergin.
