Recruiting Report: Jesse Bingham (2019)
The summer is just getting started after a long winter and the recruiting trail has picked up. This spring, one of the teams to watch was Indiana Elite Fastbreak 2019 and one of their standouts, 2019 wing Jesse Bingham, is a big reason why.
The 6’5 wing has been a name to watch for the last year as he has been playing well, not only for Fastbreak, but also Warren Central as they captured their 4A State Championship and undefeated season. Part of the pub for him is his play but also the high academics and the makeup he has.
Bingham is really adept as a ball handler on the wing, able to make plays as a driver and slasher into the middle of the floor. He’s not a big perimeter shooter but his mid-range pull-up is solid and he presents a real challenge for defenders. However, he combines all of that with his high academics and great makeup. He’s very well put together and has a lot of the intangibles coaches are looking for.
So far, Bingham has the Citadel, Army, Furman, DePauw, John Hopkins, and Indiana Wesleyan as the schools showing the most interest. He’s got the upside to draw in the DI talent and as he continues to put it together, this list should grow.
Right now, Bingham will finish out the summer with Indiana Elite Fastbreak 2019 on the Adidas Silver Gauntlet and he has a visit coming up this June to go to Indiana Wesleyan. Shouldn’t be too long before he picks up his first offer as one of the more talented players in the class.
