Recruiting Report: Frankie Davidson (2019)
Hidden gems are likely to be a theme this year in the 2019 class as there are many prospects that are going to go a little bit under the radar because of the amount of them there are. In this class, one player that isn’t like to be hidden for too much longer is that of Blackhawk Christian (IN) wing Frank Davidson.
Frankie is already quietly sitting with multiple offers in hand but has really been a productive player over the course of the last year and is having a great start to the summer with Indy Heat 2019 Red. The team has plenty of talent but Davidson continues to be a hot name on the recruiting trail the last few weeks.
He’s a tall wing with guard-like handles and a ton of other big time skills to draw from. He’s a stellar athlete with a really good about to score the ball. He can shoot at a high level and get into the lane where he can make plays. Davidson has done well for himself when he’s able to package everything together.
For him, the only big thing is his foot speed and strength, both of which he has time to improve. If he does, the laundry list of schools showing interest will turn to offers joining the likes of Cedarville, Hillsdale, Indiana Tech, and Saint Francis (IN). Those four schools began the process early and are ahead of the pack.
He’s also picking up interest from a handful of DI programs with Air Force, Army, and Kent State and has been a big player of interest for numerous NAIA and DII programs. The son of a coach with many siblings ahead of him playing college athletics, he should be setup with a smart and educated road ahead of him.
Based on where he stands right now, things going really blow up for him at any point. He already has those four offers, more than most in the class, and is coming up on offer season for the 2019 class.
