Coaches at every level value smart and steady point guards. It’s difficult to find or develop a lead guard who can create for themselves and their teammates in an efficient fashion. Davon Walker is this type of player. He’s one of the top point guards in Colorado’s class of 2019. Walker attends Grandview High School (Aurora, CO). During high school season he averaged 10ppg, 4apg, and 2spg. In the spring of 2018, Walker played AAU basketball for Boykins Basketball Academy. He is undecided as to who he will suit up for in the summer season.

Davon Walker has a skill set that leads to success at the point guard position. He has an ability to facilitate for his teammates. Walker uses excellent straight line and lateral speed to set the pace and control the tempo of the game. He plays outstanding on-ball defense and is always a threat to get a steal. Walker plays TEAM defense, always talking and making the correct rotations. He is a leader on both ends of the floor. Walker is working to improve the consistency of his jumper and his patience on the offensive end.

Davon Walker (2019)

Walker is an experienced athlete who has tasted success. His Grandview High School team won the Colorado State 5A Championship in March. Walker had 26 points and led his team to a victory in the GASO Tournament championship game last spring. He also hit the game winning shot to send his team to the Tarkanian Classic championship game last December. Walker is looking forward to July tournaments and attending college camps this summer.

Davon Walker will be putting his game on display during AAU season. He is excited to showcase his skills for college coaches. As programs see how his game has developed, he anticipates picking up more interest and possibly even offers. Walker also wants to win a nationally reputable tournament.

Walker‘s recruitment should pick up steam as the summer unfolds. He is being actively recruited by Concordia University in Nebraska, and plans on attending their prospect camp in June. Walker has a lot to offer a college basketball program. He is a team first player who is willing to do whatever is asked of him. Walker just wants to contribute to a winning team. He’s willing to sacrifice individual accolades so that he can do what is needed for his team to be successful.

Davon Walker has the athletic ability and frame of mind to be successful in athletics and academics. He wants to use basketball not just as a way to show he is an elite athlete, but as a tool to help him pay for college and reach his dream of studying pre med and becoming a doctor. Walker loves the game of basketball and is appreciative of all the doors that the game can help to open. He is motivated by his Mother and all the support that she has provided.
Davon Walker is a player to watch for fans of the game and coaches at the next level.
