Recruiting Report: Ciaran Brayboy (2019)
New Trier 2019 center Ciaran Brayboy is one of the top low post prospects in the rising senior class. The big man has broad shoulders, strength to anchor down low, and is a solid rebounder. Offensively he has some skill on the block especially when he garners deep post position before catching the ball. Brayboy is an intriguing prospect for mid-major programs.
How has the spring gone with the Illinois Wolves on the 17U level?
“It has been going pretty good for us so far. We went 4-0 in Dallas. Only went 1-3 in Indianapolis. Lost a couple games in overtime. I think I have been playing pretty solid. I got a concussion my last game in Dallas so I have been a little foggy, but I am getting back.”
Brayboy’s play on the court has led to several new offers.
“It is going really good. I picked up some offers during the live period and I will probably make a decision after July.”
He rattled off some of the programs that offered him recently.
“Wofford, Bucknell, Rice, Ball State, and a few more.”
What schools would he like to get out to for visits to see their facilities and campus?
“I will probably visit Harvard, maybe Bucknell, maybe Holy Cross, and probably Rice.”
Brayboy is the #10 overall prospect and #2 center in the current PHI rankings.
