These are the rising seniors who impressed at Tarkanian Basketball Academy over the weekend.
Orlando Robinson || 2019 Las Vegas Knicks
Robinson showed why he received offers from the likes of Kansas and Arizona State. The 6-foot-9 forward used his length to wreak havoc defensively on hopeful attackers at the rim. Offensively, he showed a lot of his bag, often facing up and using his quickness and a surprising handle to get to his spots.
Anthony Hunter || 2019 Las Vegas Knicks
Hunter was a nuisance for opposing guards to handle. He worked hard when guarding the ball, and off the ball, showed good instincts when trapping or roaming, and gambled opportunistically for steals. He flashed a quick, compact jumper off the dribble as well.
Majok Kuath || 2019 Las Vegas Prospects
Kuath is a rangy prospect with the quick-twitch athleticism to stay in front of guards on offense and toughness inside to bang for rebounds. His mid-range jumper is smooth with a high release, and he took advantage of mismatches when guarded by slower big me. Defensively, he knows how long he is and uses it well.
Antwon Jackson || 2019 Las Vegas Prospects
Jackson is a wide body, and he knows it. Even when working against longer defenders, Jackson showed patience before going up with his shot. He favors a spin move when attacking off the bounce, which favors his big body and quick feet.
Rayshon Funches || 2019 North Western Academy
Funches moves quick in the open floor. He looked to push the pace any time the opportunity presented itself, and once he got there, he made quick decisions, consistently flashing a creative passing arsenal. He attacks hard, but also did so to get his teammates open looks as well.
Brevin Walter || 2019 Las Vegas Knicks
Walter has a quick, consistent shooting release that comes off a little low, but he gets enough elevation on it to often be unbothered. That said, he’s not just a shooter, and flew all over the floor collecting rebounds and opening himself up to finishes at the rim.
Zena Biruk || 2019 Hardwork and Dedication
Biruk has a solid build and nice shooting mechanics that remain consistent off the catch and off the dribble.
