Prep Hoops Series : 2022 Players
The Prep Hoop Series 3 had plenty of talent all the way down to the 2022 class. Lets take a look at some of the players here in 2022 class from the Palmetto State that played this past weekend in Myrtle Beach.
The Team Wall Southeast-Marion 2022 team was wearing Thunder uniforms this past weekend. I have seen this squad play 3 times this spring and have yet to see them sport the Team Wall gear yet.
Kylic Horton – Clarendon Hall (Summerton) – Team Stroke 16U (pictured on front)
Horton 6’4 is just 14 years of age now. Horton averaged 14.9 ppg this past season for the Saints. Horton is a perimeter player with great length and wingspan. Horton must get stronger with the ball and be able to fight through contact in the future. Horton does play baseball in the spring for the Saints.
Devin Gillespie – Long M.S. (Cheraw) – Team Wall Southeast-Marion 2022
Gillespie averaged 1.8 ppg this past season for the Braves. Gillespie 6’0 combo guard sees the floor very well and plays at a good pace while on the floor. Gillespie is extremely active in the passing lanes and really takes pride in playing defense.
Carlton Terry – Whittemore Park M.S. (Conway) – Team Wall Southeast Marion 2022
Terry’s father is the Head Coach of the Conway HS Football Tigers. Terry is a pass first point guard that needs to play more aggressive at times. Terry understands the game and has the ability to hit open shots.
Travon Pearson – Lee Central M.S. (Bishopville) – Team Wall Southeast Marion 2022
Pearson DNP this weekend and wasn’t in attendance for the team. Pearson 7’2 and in the 8th grade – that’s correct will attend Lee Central HS this coming fall with DaVeon Thomas. Prep Hoops first saw Pearson back in January in Bishopville on secret mission for the less and then again here back in April at Big Shots Columbia.
