Prep Hoops SC took in 3 Events during the NCAA Live Period. Looking back at cleaning out the notebook I came across some notes or more the less “Views from the Sideline”. I had a chance to attend Phenom Challenge Live (Spartanburg), Big Shots Myrtle Beach and Big Shots Carolina Live at Nation Ford HS.

This season I saw the most I’ve ever seen before UNSIGNED SENIORS playing still. I have had a basketball recruiting service NCAA Certified for 19 years now and I don’t recall see this many kids still for looking for schools.

Big Shots had 7 teams in the Myrtle Beach event that’s is not even counting the Powdered by Big Shots team they also support. Little confusing at times to say the least.

Cameron Shannon – York Comprehensive HS (York, SC) – Fort Mill Knicks

Shannon was a complete shocker to me – I personally will admit I missed on this kid. I saw him in Spartanburg and Fort Mill last weekend. Shannon averaged over 20 ppg this season for his high school team this year. Shannon plays extremely hard and just really gets after it on the floor. Shannon might need to entertain junior college according to his High School Coach Mike Gossett.  WOW I really missed on this kid !!!!

Ishan White

Ishan White – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner)  – TMP 17U

White 6’6 made the most of his NCAA Live Period walking away with several scholarship offers this spring. South Carolina State, Charleston Southern, Oklahoma State, Winthrop, Presbyterian, Stetson and North Carolina A&T. White averaged 11.2 ppg and 9.8 rebounds this season for the Stags (20-3). White had plenty of coaches in attendance especially when you have Josiah James on your squad.

The overall talent in the Palmetto State is extremely exciting for me to see in the years to come. The 2019 class is a very deep class and the 2021 class is not far behind for sure. This fall it will be my 15th year in the Palmetto State and 19th year overall with a basketball recruiting service.

I will hit it every back road and I have since launching the Prep Hoops South Carolina last January 2017 to find players. Prep Hoops SC is your source for all the latest basketball recruiting news and notes. Prep Hoops covers players from all levels of play on the hardwood.
