MBA 16u Shines at Up North Challenge
RECAP
The MBA 16u team is in the midst of a stellar spring. Their recent success continued last weekend at the Up North Challenge. MBA 16u rolled to a championship. They used an excellent defensive performance as a catalyst to their undefeated 4-0 record. They made the competition work for every basket, rarely allowing an easy look at the rim. MBA 16u consistently held their opponent to just one shot per possession. This allowed them to hit the outlet pass and play their transition game offensively. MBA 16u was very efficient offensively. They worked for goodness looks at the basket and shot well from the three point line.
MBA has proved to be an elite 16u team. They are a disciplined and efficient squad offensively. Defensively, they communicate exceptionally well. This allows them to force difficult and contested shots. When a shot goes up, MBA 16u players consistently box out and are active on the glass. Last weekend, they put the ball in the hands of their playmakers off the defensive rebound. Max Perez, Mitch Wilkinson, and Drew Weber all had outstanding weekends for MBA Elite 16u.
