Louisiana Select Team Millsap 17u has had a very nice first half of the grassroots season with a 13-5 record. They have appeared in final four of multiple events including Kingwood Classic, GASO San Antonio, and Nike Memorial Day Classic. Louisiana Select has been around a long time and does a fantastic job of helping student athletes reach their potential and goals. This particular group is coached by Calvary Boys Head Coach Vic Morris and is led by the guard duo from Bossier High.

Roster

Jacoby Decker (5’9 PG, Bossier High) – Decker is one of the top guards in the state and is well known as a scoring guard. Electric with the ball, Decker can get wherever he wants on the court and has the athleticism to finish when he gets there. His range is unquestioned and he is a pest as an on ball defender.

Kaalas Roots (6’0 G, Bossier High) – Another all around guard from Bossier who brings a fierce competitive nature and high level defender. Roots motor does not stop running and he is the 2nd leading scorer for LSTM behind Decker.

Devan Melancon (6’3 W, Loyola College Prep) – High IQ shooter that understands how to play without the basketball. A tough kid who uses his IQ to be where he needs to be on the defensive end.

Jalen Ferguson (6’8 PF/C, Union Parish High) – Long big man who will need to add bulk but consistently protects the rim through blocks and shot alterations. Has potential and is coachable so expect him to add more than the defense and rebounding to his game. Runs the floor well.

Seginald Bryant (6’2 G, Leesville High) – Athletic guard that finishes well around the rim. Had the handles needed to get there as well as a nice pull-up. Athleticism allows him to be a very good defender. One to watch for sure.

TJ Robinson (5’10 PG, Airline High) – Ultra quick point guard that does a very good job as a floor general. Can hit shots when needed and always competes on both ends. Like Decker, can be a pest as an on ball defender.

Joseph Wiggins (6’5 F, CE Byrd High)

Rayson Robinson (6’1 G, Wossman High)

DJ Jackson (6’3 G, Huntington High)

Tank McDonald (6’3 F, Red River High)

Elijah Malone (6’5 F, Saline High)

Jalen Jones (6’0 G, Union Parish High)
