Elite 32 Tourney Standouts: Class of 2018
Elite One Ballers 2018 Jadakis Bonds: Easily one of the best players throughout the entire event, he has pretty much all the things that you will want from a PG. He has the size at 6’4, a gift for passing the ball, athletic ability, speed, and lock down defensive ability. Shooting is the only question mark at this point but he showed that when he dictates the pace of the game, he can control things. Recently he made the decision to attend Hampton University to play football but don’t be shocked if you see him asked to suit up for the Pirates on the hardwood.
Team NGB 2018 Wing Romeo Jordan: The Saint Pauls HS senior showed why he was on the mind of a few college coaches this year as he played at a very high level. He scored from all over the floor, and showed a smooth shooting stroke, he has decent size for a wing on the next level and will be a nice late pickup for a JC program.
Southern Slam 2018 Guard Steph Lloyd: The FTCC signee was the leader of the team and even though he didn’t score the ball at a high rate, he did the small things. Running an offense, defending at a solid level, and putting his team in good situations to win.
Southern Slam 2018 Forward Tyson Alford: Brought a nice amount of energy for his team, although he is undersized at the forward spot he battled inside with other bigs. Every team needs a player like him on their team, he competes at a high level and doesn’t back down from any challenge.
Elite One Ballers 2018 Guard Nassir Brown: His ability to finish in traffic and using different angles to score the ball against taller defenders is what caught our attention. He didn’t force the issue much and seemed as if he was picking his spots for when he wanted to attack.
Team NGB 2018 Guard Lamar Hawkins Jr: Did a very nice job running the PG spot for this squad, made some good passes and reads while keeping his To’s low. He shot the ball well and even showed some athletic ability throwing down a few dunks.
