Big Shots Team United : 2020 Top Performers
Prep Hoops took in the action back in Fort Mill, SC this past Saturday at Big Shots Team United Event. Lets take a look at some of the top performers in the event from the state of the North Carolina in the 2020 class.
Demar Anderson (2020) – North Mecklenburg HS (Huntersville) – Team Synergy 2020
Anderson has a great feel for the game and score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Anderson seems to get better every time I see him play. Anderson is so efficient on his game and makes his teammates better around him.
Jabez Thomas (2020) – Mount Zion Christian Academy (Durham) – Team United 16 EYBL
Thomas recently joined the team after the departure of Javarzia Belton. Belton is now playing with Team Loaded North Carolina 16. Thomas a Rochester, NY native arrived at Mount Zion Christian Academy back in late January 2018. Thomas has a good frame to him and seems to finish everything when around the cup. Thomas plays with a bit a mean streak at times on the floor.
Tyler Alexander (2020) – Mallard Creek HS (Charlotte) – Team United Elite 16U
Alexander 6’6 is a great mismatch guy in the paint. Alexander a combo forward can play-inside out on the floor. Alexander has a great skill set and finished several shots around the rim with his left hand. Alexander started his high school career at Cannon School before arriving at Mallard Creek HS.
Nicholas Burns (2020) – Rocky River HS (Mint Hill) – Team United Elite 16U
Burns 5’10 is shifty point guard with the ball. Burns likes to use the crossover move and generally swarms the ball on the defensive end of the floor. Burns a pass first point guard plays with Jaden Springer at Rocky River HS. Burns really can change directions and gears on the floor very quickly.
Anthony Allen (2020) – Independence HS (Charlotte) – DTA Elite
Allen 5’10 is a absolute gamer on the floor. Allen a combo guard seem to hurt his ankle here in a game and left the floor in a great deal of pain. Allen returned late in the game to help his team. Allen really likes to draw contact attacking the rack. Allen has a fearless attitude and showed a lot of grit.
** DTA ELITE is the hardest playing team I’ve seen all spring long on the Grassroots circuit.
