Arch Elite Showcase (Class of 2021 Guards)
Here is a look at some of the top Class of 2021 guards from last weekend’s Arch Elite Showcase in St. Louis
Thomas Redmond 6’3″ STL Rising Stars: A combo guard from DeSmet with good size and a versatile skill set which made him difficult to match up with. He was very aggressive in getting to the basket and scoring through contact. He made several big plays for his team during close games as he was not afraid to take and make big shots.
Brendan Deters 6’1″ Gateway Basketball Club: A very capable young point guard from Troy who plays the game with a lot of savvy. He displayed some nifty ball handling moves to get through traffic and turned them into scoring plays for himself and his teammates. He follows in the footsteps of his talented older brothers, who were also standout guards at Troy.
Kyle Conkright 5’10” Bullets: A solid young point guard who plays with good poise with the ball in his hands as a ball handler and passer. Gets the ball where it needs to go, but he has the ability to create offense and get his own shots. Displayed some good perimeter shooting during the weekend.
Trevon Love 6’1″ Gateway Basketball Club: A dynamic young combo guard from Jennings who really pushed the pace and did a nice job of putting pressure on opposing defenses with his dribble penetration. He found different ways to put the ball in the basket.
