Arch Elite Showcase (Class of 2020 Forwards)
Here are some of the top Class of 2020 forwards from last weekend’s Arch Elite Showcase in St. Louis:
Sam Richardson 6’5″ Gateway Basketball Club: A very talented combo forward from Hancock who scored and rebounded at a high rate in both of the games I watched him. He can put the ball on the floor and knock down jumpers and get buckets in the post. He rebounded well and did a good job of defending his position. His size and versatility make him a tough match up.
Michael Skoff 6’4″ Arsenal Hoops: An ideal Stretch 4 from DeSmet who has the ability to step out and knock down open 3-pointers off the catch. He is also a solid ball handler and an excellent passer from the perimeter. He also displayed a couple of nifty dribble-drive moves to the basket when defenders closed out on him to aggressively.
Kevon Williams 6’4″ SEMO Bulls: A solid young post player from Charleston who played with a high motor and did a lot of positive things for his team without scoring a lot of buckets. He was an aggressive rebounder and shot blocker who gave maximum effort on both ends of the floor.
Blake Vaughn 6’4″ T.E.M. Select: An aggressive young power forward who enjoys the physical play around the basket. He has the ability to score in the post and collect his share of rebounds. He can also bull his way to the basket from the high post and score off the drive. When the motor is going, he can be tough to handle.
