April Live Period Recap: 2020 Stock Risers
Several players made statements during the April Live Period. In this article we will acknowledge six of the biggest stock risers we saw from the 2020 class in Maryland, DC and Virginia.
ACE BALDWIN | TEAM BBC
A litany of high major programs have been tracking Ace Baldwin for a little while now, and he is beginning to pick up more offers as a result of elite point guard play this spring. Look for the tough lefty to be touted among the top floor generals in his class when it’s all said and done.
MARCUS DOCKERY | DC PREMIER
Sharpshooting point guard Marcus Dockery showcased deep range off the dribble and from the catch at the Super Team Showcase last weekend, and was on a tear this spring before that. Look for the emerging lead guard to see a major uptick in his recruitment this summer.
JOSIAH HARDY | DISTRICT BASKETBALL CLUB
Josiah Hardy has done nothing but produce and showcase high level potential this spring. Expect the 6-foot-6 forward, who should fight for significant minutes at Gonzaga next season, to be considered a legitimate division one target this summer.
DARIUS MADDOX | TEAM DURANT
One of the elite scorers in the local 2020 class, Darius Maddox already has A10 schools all over him. Don’t be surprised to see high majors begin closely tracking the athletic, 6-foot-4 wing soon.
MATT ROGERS | MID ATLANTIC SELECT
Matt Rogers is dominating competition at his level right now, and has been selected to play up with the 17’s on a number of occasions already this spring. His skill set is expanding, and he’s starting to grow into his body which has made him more forceful.
DIMINGUS STEVENS | TEAM TAKEOVER
After his three-point barrage at Spooky Nook, Dimingus Stevens popped up on the radar of several division one programs. A top-tier shot maker in the local 2020 class, his potential is scary.
