2021 Stock Risers: Guards
The spring session of AAU is over for most and with Memorial Day Weekend wrapping up, we are set to take a look back at those that have improved their stock. Today, we have our look at the top 2021 guards who improved their stock.
Jaylen Fairmon – 6’0 / PG / 2021 / Jeffersonville (IN) / Louisville Legends 2021
Fairmon was pretty solid when we were able to watch him the Spring. He was really quick with the ball and was able to make plays in transition. Felt better about his play making ability and when he chose to, his jumper looked solid.
Khristian Lander – 6’2 / PG / 2021 / Evansville Reitz (IN) / EG10 2021
Lander was exceptional this Spring and looks like he is about to take off with his game. Lightning quick with the ball in his hands and just a pure playmaker with balance in dishing and scoring. He has a lot of things about his game that look a tick up but the overall effect of him usually being the best player on the floor each game is the biggest takeaway.
Naylon Thompson – 6’1 / PG / 2021 / Bishop Luers (IN) / Indy Heat Red 2021
Naylon looked so much more comfortable and dominant even when we watched this Spring. He was really quick and breaking down defenders whenever he wanted. Along with that, his jumper was stellar and hitting from all three levels. The scoring ability we didn’t expect but he looked so confident, it’s going to be hard not to really move him way up the rankings.
Luka Balac – 6’2 / SG / 2021 / Munster (IN) / Indiana Elite 2021
Luka is a guy that we are still a bit unsure of what position he will trend towards at the next level but felt much better about his ball handling ability against pressure. He’s got that big frame and easily a guy that can balance his game with distribution and scoring. Moving in the right direction.
Jalen Blackmon – 5’11 / PG / 2021 / Marion (IN) / Indy Heat 2021
Blackmon was just someone of the top players we didn’t get to see as much as the others. With that being said, he was everything you wanted to see. Along with that, he looked like he has already begun to reel in his game and take over more control. He’s got all the tools in the world and easily vying for that top spot.
