2020 Stock Risers: Guards
The spring session of AAU is over for most and with Memorial Day Weekend wrapping up, we are set to take a look back at those that have improved their stock. Today, we have our look at the top 2020 guards who improved their stock.
Max Gizzi – 6’0 / PG / 2020 / New Palestine (IN) / IE 2K20
Gizzi has really been getting pretty consistent over the last year and now he’s getting to the point where he’s making some game-winning plays. I think he’s got some more to show but he’s clearly got the mindset to take over the game and that has benefitted him to this point.
Michael Saunders Jr. – 5’11 / PG / 2020 / Lawrence North (IN) / UA Grind 2020
Saunders was always a top player in the class but now he’s pretty much locked himself into a solid floor as a Mid-major prospect mainly because of just how good he is at getting to the rim and finishing. Always able to get a bucket when he needs one and overcoming size and length against him.
Nijel Pack – 6’0 / PG / 2020 / Lawrence Central (IN) / Indiana Elite 2020
Pack has grown the frame in the last year and has done so well and just being that constant leader and distributor. Love his ability to shoot and think he can bring that into the fold more. When he is shooting and leading, that is a sight to watch.
Trey Galloway – 6’4 / SG / 2020 / Culver Academies (IN) / Indiana Elite 2020
Galloway has taken steps forward as a finisher even from the high school season. His perimeter jumper is solid but could be a little more consistent but that is nitpicking for just how good he has become. An elite scoring guard in the Midwest and has locked down the top spot in the class, easily.
Turner Royal – 5’11 / PG / 2020 / Bloomfield (IN) / DistinXion 2020 Black
Royal has taken steps since we saw him last Fall. He’s much more confident and when he has that jumper rolling, he’s a lot more effective in all parts of his game. It seems like he feeds off the success and his defense and energy take a step forward, making him look a whole level or two better.
