2019: Names To Know
As the Spring AAU season comes to a close, we have come across a few names that are either new or have played their way onto our radar and now we have locked in on them for the July Live Periods. We highlight some of the best here.
Alex Mossey – 6’9 / C / 2019 / South Bend St. Joseph (IN) / MBA Select 2019
Mossey is a guy you are going to want to watch as size is always limited and you can count on his as a productive low post player whose starting to develop a little more of an offensive game this Spring.
Clay Hilliard – 6’1 / PG / 2019 / Plymouth (IN) / Kardia Kings 2019
Clay is a solid lead guard with some solid shooting ability and the toughness you want out of your floor leader. The class has some solid point guards but the depth isn’t as strong as in past years so he could be one that stands out to a few schools.
Jaiquan Edwards – 6’5 / SF / 2019 / Crispus Attucks (IN) / Indiana Faith 2019 Black
Edwards is big forward that looks like he has a lot more left to touch on in his game. He’s really good faced up and can play that 3/4 role as a slasher rather than a shooter. Can give you a different look and has that size to defensively match up with guys at the next level.
Myles Johnson – 6’5 / SF / 2019 / Indiana Homeschool Warriors (IN) / IE Metro 2019
Johnson might be one of the best hidden gems in the state as many have yet to see him but the 6’5 forward is a solid scoring wing with tons of upside. Shot the ball really well this Spring and is just as good driving the lane and finishing. His upside will draw a ton of schools in to watch.
Shawn Beeler – 5’8 / PG / 2019 / Warren Central (IN) / IE Central 2019
Beeler is one of the better floor leaders and he’s shown the ability to shoot a bit this Spring, adding a little more to his game. Really good pace setter and controls the flow so well. Again, true lead guards are a little harder to come by and he’s one that is intriguing.
