14U Standouts from the Oklahoma State Tournament
David Hunt 2022 Nike Pro Skills Oklahoma Point Guard
Hunt is a strong Guard that can make plays happen with the ball in his hands. If he continues to progress at this pace he will be one of the better 2022 prospects in the state of Oklahoma. The athleticism, strength, and high basketball IQ Hunt plays with on the court makes him fun to watch.
Elijah Parks 2022 Nike Pro Skills Oklahoma Guard
Parks was one of the best shooters I saw on Friday night in the 14U division with his ability to get to the bucket and make plays. He threw in a few three-pointers to add to his total. The quickness of Parks makes him really tough to matchup with the ball in his hands.
Cayden Carter 2022 Synergy Forward
He rebounds the ball well with a good motor about his game. Carter is tall for his age around 6’3, which helps him have a size advantage. He will be a guy to keep an eye on and see how he grows.
Aiden Vaughn 2022 Synergy Point Guard
Vaughn is not afraid of the tough moments in the game on the court. He put on a perfect “glue guy” clinic diving for basketballs on the floor, making the extra pass, and playing tough defense.
Jaiden Graves 2020 Devoted Point Guard
He ran the offense at the Point very effectively for his team. Graves is able to do a little bit of everything for Devoted. The constant presence Graves has on the court helps his team immensely. He can handle the ball, pass, and create his own shot.
Lane Shows 2022 Devoted Guard
Shows is a scrappy Guard that was able to garner steals leading to easy baskets in transition. The “glue guy” role is what Shows brings to the table for Devoted. The willingness of Shows to do whatever his team needed was great to see.
Jaxs Burchett 2022 Oklahoma Process Guard
Burchett lit the scoreboard up having himself a day scoring at all three levels. A couple of early three-pointers got Burchett going. He was able to score at all three levels, which opened up the court for him.
Jarrett Grisham 2022 Synergy Wing
Grisham was one of the best 14U players I saw on opening night. What made him stick out was the energy he brought to the court at all times. The constant high motor he plays with led to steals and offensive boards for easy putbacks. For his age group, Grisham is tall and athletic. He even went up to dunk the basketball in transition.
