Top Stock Risers in 2019 Class (Guards)
Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at several players who raised their stock this past season.
AJ Dickerson, 6’4, G, 2019, Junction City
Dickerson combines terrific size and athleticism with a competitive spirit and the ability to knock down shots. Dickerson can handle the point guard duties, but is also able to play off the ball as well. A streaky outside shooter, Dickerson can get hot from 3-point range and put up points in a hurry, but is also capable of creating his own shot, getting all the way to the basket or knocking down mid-range shots. His upcoming spring and summer will be big to his college future, but we see him getting opportunities to play at the next level.
Tymer Jackson, 6’0, PG, 2019, Olathe North
Jackson isn’t very big as he is a slight 6’0 guard, but don’t let that fool you — he is one of Kansas’ top risers in the 2019 Class. Jackson brings a well-rounded skill set to the court, able to handle the ball and knock down shots from the 3-point line. He put up big scoring numbers this past season, averaging nearly 25 points per game and shot nearly 45 percent from the 3-point arc.
Jaden Okon, 6’4, G, 2019, Wichita Heights, NLHA
Okon is already off to a big start to this offseason as he was one of several top performers a few weeks ago in Tulsa. He is an elite athlete capable of throwing down dunk after dunk, but can also handle the ball, attack the basket and has an emerging perimeter jumper.
Amauri Pesek-Hickson, 6’3, G, 2019, Blue Valley North
Hickson is a two-guard with a big, strong frame and a big time game. He has the ability get up above the rim and is a creative ball handler and scorer off the dribble. He has the ability to get to the basket off the bounce or can pull up and shoot from the outside. He is a rising player in the junior class after breaking into the BVN line-up.
Harper Williams, 6’1, G, 2019, Salina Central
A standout 3-point shooter with deep range, Williams can knock down outside shots while spotting up, or off the bounce. He is also a creative finisher around the basket and has the ability to lead a team.
