Top Shooters from the Southern Brawl
The shooters were out in full force in OKC this weekend. Get a look at what shooters impressed the most from the Southern Brawl!
Jett Sternberger 2019 Game Changer Hoops Point Guard
Sternberger lit the gym up with three-pointers left and right. Three-point shooting is just the tip of the iceberg with Sternberger. He has a smooth mid-range jumper to match his outside shot. Sternberger continues to prove he is one of the best 2019 Oklahoma prospects projected to the NCAA Division II level.
Micah Lena 2018 OK Respect Wing
Lena was one of the top unsigned seniors at the event this weekend shooting the basketball at a high level. At 6’5 he is a matchup problem for opponents on the Wing. The skill set of Lena allows him to create off the bounce productively. Lena projects to the small college level.
Jayden Martin 2018 Oklahoma Hustle Guard
Martin brought his A game this weekend scoring the ball very well for his Oklahoma Hustle squad. He was a sniper from behind the arc. When he needed to create an opening to the basket he used a variety of crafty moves to get by his defender and score
Seth Anderson 2020 Tulsa Hawks Guard
Anderson was a guy that stood out shooting the basketball with a good form and release. He is a player that could really rise this summer in the Oklahoma 2020 Class after seeing him this weekend.
Reid Lovelace 2022 Ferguson Elite Point Guard
Lovelace has a killer three-point shot with a quick trigger. If he is open from deep expect him to launch and find the bottom of the net. When Lovelace plays up it does not seem to phase him one bit. A competitor is a great way to describe his game.
Stephon Hall 2018 OK Respect Point Guard
Hall heated up on Saturday catching fire from three-point range. When he gets hot he can be a tough player to slow down. The quick handle of Hall creates a lot of space for Hall to get his shot off. He is currently committed to USAO.
Cole Durkee 2019 Ball 4 Life Wing
Durkee has a pure smooth jumper from three-point range. He shot the ball with great confidence. The biggest transformation he has made in his game is being able to create off the dribble. He projects to the small college level.
Conner Calavan 2020 Tulsa Hawks Wing
Calavan was one of the best shooters in the 16U age division. He moved well without the ball. Although he is a sniper from deep Calavan does a great job of not taking bad shots. The shot selection of Calavan mixed with his smooth three-point shot was impressive.
Dyson Plumley 2019 OK Respect Wing
Plumley scored the ball at a high rate this weekend making plays for OK Respect on the Wing. When he gets hot from deep he is tough to stop because he can create so well off the bounce. Plumley is a guy for small colleges to have on their radar in the Oklahoma 2019 Class.
Caison Hartloff 2021 Tulsa Hawks Wing
Hartloff is taking the challenge on of playing up a grade in 16U as a 2021 prospect. He shoots the rock with great confidence. Hartloff is a high volume shooter that can heat up quickly.
Micah Lena 2018 OK Respect Wing
Lena was one of the best shooters from deep at the Southern Brawl. He has parking lot range with great size on the Wing. He is looking for JUCO and small college options to sign with this spring.
Marcus Hawkins 2019 Ball 4 Life Guard
Hawkins was a streaky shooter for Ball 4 Life. He would get hot quickly hitting several in a row then he would hit a cold spot and repeat. Hawkins has a quick trigger that helps him get off his shot despite his size.
