Standouts from On the Radar Sweet 16
The On the Radar Sweet 16 was held at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia over the past weekend and Justin Byerly of PrepHoopsNC took in the action. Here is a look at some of the standouts from the event.
6’6, shooting guard Diante Smith of Showtime Hoops had a great showing at On the Radar Sweet 16. Consistent shooter, aggressive, strong defender, length, scorers mentality, has the size to be the new age guard, able to see over defenders.
Impressed with 2019 6’6 guard Christian Jackson of Georgia Canes. Versatile scorer with nice size. Will be attending Washinton Academy (NC) next season.
Juwan Perdue of South Carolina Ballers Elite showed why he is getting some MM-HM attention. Long and can defend multiple position. 6’7 forward that can shoot it and handle in transition.
5’6 PG Omar Cooper has a handle. Stays cool and will just get around you. Skilled lead guard that will make you miss. Brother of top-50 national recruit Sharife Cooper.
AOT Basketball 2020 guard Eugene Brown. Smooth, does a good job of getting open off screens, then under control to make his scoring move. Reminds me of a smaller Brandon Boston from Norcross HS. Has the same under-control game and shooting touch. He is either making the shot or getting to the foul line.
Georgia Canes wing Jalen Cincore is a skilled shooter who can make shots from off the catch from behind the three point line. He is able to score from anywhere on the floor.
Atlanta Lighting guard Trelan Scott is an all-around scorer that stays in attack mode for the whole game. Can score from anywhere on the floor out to the three-point line and is one of the more intense players that you will find.
The Charlotte Aces were loaded with talented players on their roster.
6’8 F Felix Cue is a long and strong forward. He is able to post up in the paint, run the floor and finish. He had one of the biggest dunks of the day with a one handed thrown-down against Chattanooga Elite.
6’5 unsigned senior Stephen Edoka is a threat with the ball in his hands, he is one of those players that wants the ball, can score off the dribble or knock down the mid-to-long three point shot. He is tough and physical.
6’7 F Tim Smith of Charlotte Aces is a player that can do so much on the floor, he can rebound, block shots, score from the mid-range, defend multiple positions.
