Recruiting Report: Terrion Murdix (2019)
Springfield Southeast 2019 point guard Terrion Murdix is a 6’0” junior point guard that is coming off an outstanding junior campaign at Springfield Southeast. He elevated his stock a ton particularly with his play in the state final four in Peoria. The lead guard is quick and shifty in tight spaces. Gets in and out of defenders with ease. Makes tough acrobatic layups at the rim. Speed in the open floor with his ability to go coast to coast. Also likes to use a runner over shot blockers. D2 prospect with low-major upside.
Murdix talks about his junior season leading his team to the state title game.
“It was great. We had a great run down the stretch in state. I guess we made a name for ourselves. It was a great experience in Peoria. We got to play a lot of great players. The atmosphere was great.”
What are his strengths as a player?
“I can facilitate and get guys open. I can score too.”
Still early in the recruiting process and he says he hasn’t directly heard from any schools, but his coach with the Illinois Irish has.
“Gavin (Sullivan) said that Tennessee State, UIC, Bradley, South Dakota, and some more have called him.”
