Recruiting Report: Justin Streit (2019)
Eden Valley-Watkins had a fantastic year going 26-3 and it was a balanced team effort by guys like Justin Streit that led to such a fantastic season. Streit is a football prospect but also a hoops standout.
EVW had six guys score between 7 and 12 points a game balancing their efforts and building a fantastic season. Streit grabbed 9-10 rebounds a game while scoring about 4-5 baskets a contest as a part of a fantastic all around team.
“This winter went well in my mind,” Justin said. “We weren’t able to secure first in the conference but we were close second. Also, we made it to the section championship and lost to a heartbreaking by Cathedral at the buzzer. All that aside I’m super proud of the team and what we accomplished.”
Streit has become one of the best rebounders in Class AA basketball.
“This past year I really found an increase in playing time,” Justin said. “I’ve become a great rebounder pulling close to 10 boards a game, and I am a strong post which I can muscle my way to the hoop.”
Justin is a fantastic football player that will spend a lot of his off-season getting ready for his senior football year and looking into college football programs. NSIC programs are contacting Justin regularly.
“For football I’ve talked with Minnesota-Crookston, Northern State, Concordia, and Augustana.”
