Quatarius York Recruiting Update (2018)
Quatarius York (PrepHoops #37) is close…very close to making a college decision.
He recently visited Chattanooga State.
“It was good,” said Quatarius York. “It was a good visit. I liked the campus and everything. They have some talented guys up there. I got to scrimmage with them.”
How did the scrimmage go? Did York feel he fit in or could excel at this level?
“I think it fit me,” said York. “He wanted me to go out there and score, what I do best.”

“There are four schools I have left,” said Quatarius York (Fayette-Ware). “And they are one of the four.”
Beyond Chattanooga State, York likes Southwest Tennessee, Walters State, and Eastern Florida State.
“I visited Southwest and Chattanooga State,” said York. Eastern Florida is supposed to be flying me out there this week or next week. Walters State is going to have me out, as well.
When York does take the time to decide he will look at all four schools and listen to advice from his high school coach.
Fayette Ware Head Coach Marcus Stokes is one of his mentors.
“I look up to him because he played at the next level,” said York. “There is a lot he can teach me. He did a lot of stuff in his college years and went on to play professionally and overseas. Anything I can get from him I will take it.”
“He is just telling me to pick which one fits you. Which team is going to help you the most, but most important is what school you want to graduate from.”
After two years at the junior college of his choice, Quatarius York intends to advance to a Division I school, “hopefully that I can go and continue to play at the next level. One day I want to play professional.”
The timeline for York to decide is in the coming weeks.
“I am trying to decide late April,” said York. “By late April I should (announce).”
